Cocktail Weekend

Cocktail Weekend is a flavor journey where the atmosphere is just as important as what’s in the glass. During the weekend, you’ll join a fun and inspiring tasting where we dip our toes into the fantastic history and world of gin cocktails—without getting bogged down in history lessons or over-the-top geekery. You’ll walk away with both a wonderful experience and practical knowledge, including ideas for welcome drinks and party cocktails that are incredibly easy to mix at home. An experience perfectly suited for curious beginners and seasoned cocktail lovers alike.

Together with our knowledgeable guide, you will taste four different gin-based cocktails—ranging from sweet and sour to more spirit-forward styles. We’ll discuss flavor, balance, and the clever tricks that make a big difference in the glass: how acidity and sweetness interact, how simple adjustments can highlight the gin, and why the same cocktail can taste completely different depending on how you build it. Naturally, you’ll also get tips on how to pair different types of gin with various styles of cocktails.

About the weekend

The weekend begins on Friday with a welcome cocktail and a delicious two-course dinner in our cozy restaurant, Southside. For those who wish, there is also the opportunity to unwind at Stillery Relax & Poolclub, either before or after dinner.

Saturday starts with a delightful breakfast buffet. Afterward, you’ll have plenty of time to stroll through Härnösand’s charming city center, enjoy a coffee in the lobby, or simply relax. In the afternoon, we’ll take you by shuttle to the Hernö Gin distillery, located about 10 minutes from the hotel. There, we gather for the highlight of the weekend: the cocktail tasting. After the tasting, the shuttle takes you back to Hernö Gin Hotell, where the evening continues with a specially composed three-course dinner inspired by the flavors of Hernö Gin.

After a peaceful night’s sleep, another wonderful breakfast buffet awaits before it is time to check out and head home.
